I love Brian "Primesuspect" Ambrozy. He warms the cockles of my heart, as well as the cockles of my otherparts.

  • Re: An ode to the album format, and my top 11

    OMG, Bitches Brew!!!

    In no particular order:

Pink Floyd "WYWH", "DSotM", "Animals", "Meddle" (all equal in my eyes)
    Frank Zappa "Fillmore 1971"
Traffic "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys"
The Beatles "The Beatles" (white album)
Jethro Tull "Thick as a Brick" (honorable mention: 180g MFSL quad pressing of "Aqualung")
    Yes "Fragile" (honorable mention: "Yessongs")
Mars Volta "De-Loused in the Comatorium"
    Led Zeppelin "Physical Graffiti"
Led Zeppelin "The Song Remains the Same"
    Miles Davis "Kind of Blue"

    That's enough for now.

Who would like a key for Super Meat Boy, World of Goo, The Stanley Parable, or VVVVVV?

If you're going to get The Wall, you also need to get Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, and Wish You Were Here. As for Mars Volta, get Frances the Mute and Amputechture. Might I also suggest Old Money by Omar Rodríguez-López?
