As a sneak peek for what SEGA has in store for us at E3, Yakuza 4 has been announced and will be shown at the 2010 E3 Expo. The game dives back into the Japanese criminal underworld, known as the Yakuza.
The game returns with the familiar character of Kiryu Kazuma, as well as three new playable characters. The newcomers include Akiyama, Tanimura, and Saejima (as seen in the featured image above).  Each has their own unique back-story that weaves together into the main plot.

Yakuza will be released exclusively on the PS3, coming Spring 2011.

Bandrik I've never played the Yakuza series before, to be honest, but this did catch my fancy. Looks a bit over-the-top, but what Japanese game isn't?

rolleggroll Not so much over-the-top but more "dorama-esque." If you were to take a Japanese yakuza tv-show and make it to a game you would get this game. Otherwise the feel of the game is similar to Shenmue. Yakuza 3 for the PS3 goes over the story of 1 & 2 very detailed. Worth a rental if you are curious.

I am tentative to how bad Yakuza 4 will get censored here in the US. Yakuza 3 definately took a hit in some regards. On another note, new controllable characters? I am having trouble seeing myself taking a liking to anyone that isn't Kiyru.

Lastly, one of my favorite adult actresses is voicing over one of the new characters. How awesome is that?

Howdy, Stranger!
