Tuniq Potency 550W power supply review

Conclusion

So there you have it! We think that the Tuniq Potency 550W is an excellent budget PSU. It has exhibited low voltage droop and excellent ripple mechanics under load conditions. Better yet, we found it for about $55 after rebate (Newegg has a $25 MIR right now). With a price like that, we can’t recommend this PSU enough.

This Potency 550W was a very capable performer for an entry-level to mid-range system. We’re pleased to award the Potency 550W with Icrontic’s “Outstanding Product” award.

Pros:

  • Low voltage dip at load
  • Excellent ripple characteristics
  • Quality casing and sleeved cables
  • Quiet
  • Excellent price

Cons:

  • Poor internal heatsink design
