IC LAN 2008 - Post LAN Wrapup

Saturday is usually the “main” LAN day. We start off the Saturday with a group trip to Original Pancake House and then spend the day gaming - both LAN and board gaming (CB’s realm). The ever popular Duct Tape Competition also takes place on Saturday. This year’s contest was to build a floating vessel that could hold the most weight.

In the end, the team consisting of Pseudonym, Pragtastic, and MiracleManS won with their “basic bucket” design. It held just about anything they threw in there.

Saturday evening was a lot of Rock Band debauchery and a lot of partying. Somehow, a deep fryer ended up in the driveway of ICHQ at some point during the night. Scotty “Jokerz4Fun” Osborne and Eric Ryder began getting a bunch of food together to feed the masses. Deep fried goodness included chicken wings, onion rings, fries, and of course… a deep fried White Castle cheeseburger.

   Awesome article, takes me back. I typically write journals of events like this on my laptop to help me remember way down the line and I never got around to writing one for ICLAN08.

   Now I don't need to.

   Very nice article. I might have to see if magic will let me join him next year. I want to go just for the taste of detroit! Maybe I'll even have to bring a couple of strawberry pies, or make some there! We'll see when it gets closer to next year. Magic might want that weekend as time to get away from me. hah.
