Infected w. popup hell, where to start

I run a tight ship, yet somehow, I've managed to get infected. Popups and trojans seem to be nailing me, and I just don't know where to begin in treating it. I run AVG, and keep my defs up to date, that wasn't much help. W2K, and latest patches from MS (or close to it) installed. What's next? I've run hijackthis, shows A LOT of stuff there, most of it greek to me. What's the next step for me to start getting clean?

Ad-Aware and Spybot first, then post your HiJackThis log. All can be found on the [url=Security Downloads page.

Run Ad-Aware and Spybot to clean out most of what you have. Come back here with the HiJackThis log run after cleaning up with those two. It makes for an easier log to clean.

OK, ran AdAware, found a lot of crap, quarantined it. Spybot ran clean.
Got latest defs for AVG, ran it, found 15 trojan/downloaders, moved all but 1 to virus vault, "can't move aproposplugin.dll to virus vault". Rebooted, Adaware then found 2 more items, quarantined. Hijackthis log is below, sorry if it's too big. What's my next step?

Then, go in to C:\program files\common files and delete the wintools folder,
    Then delete C:\Program Files\Freesurfer

    and delete this trojan:

    C:\WINNT\sysupd.exe

... Then reboot and run HJT again and post it up here :D

couple things you can optionally get rid of:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime not required, just uses sys. resources
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroCheck] C:\WINNT\system32\NeroCheck.exe Only required if you login w/o admin privlegdes
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinampAgent] "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Winampa.exe" Only required if you want to use global hotkeys
