Nforce2 Drivers won't update

I recently tried to update my Nforce2 Drivers from 3.13 to 4.27. My computer hasn't been used for several months and when I finally powered it up I noticed that the sound panel had every volume level (green, yellow, and red indicators) maxed out and the equalizer settings wouldn't change even though I chose different options. I decided to reinstall my Nforce 2 drivers on my Abit NF7-S, but they don't seem to do anything.

They downloaded fine, the setup window starts, but then it closes and nothing else happens.

I'm at a loss. I've tried several versions with the same result. I open to suggestions and advice, hoping someone has dealt with this before.

Thanks,
Preacher

    Run Driver Cleaner first: http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/

and then re-install 4.27. Make sure you have at least SP1 installed or you'll loose USB

    Good luck!

SP1 is installed...still waiting on SP2. Thanks, Equito. I'll give Driver Cleaner a spin. I know it isn't the installer either, because I updated to the ATI Catalyst 4.8s fine.
