Got this email quoted verbatim above this text today, installed without problems other than having to install via download center download the AntiSpyware tool which is now in public Beta, courtesy Microsoft update alert for notifying me, and one security update plus a malicious software remover was offered. I'll post another post about what that tool found, AdAware did NOT find this spyware, so I will ID it for you in another post.

Now, for the interesting part of the BETA anti-Spyware tool. What interested me and intrigued me was this:

It found an adware infection which it named SearchSquire. Adaware had been run with today's defs updated into it prior to it being run, did not find these two entries. Microsoft said also that folks who have genuine Windows 2000 or XP can get updates for this tool as part of WindowsUpdate.

Registry keys were subkeys of Interent Zone, and one ended with 'searchsquire' and the second with 'searchsquire *4' (yes, space then asterisk then digit 4). Hope this helps users reading this and the SWAT team.
