while in firefox, go to bookmarks/mange bookmarks, then file/export...

it will create an .html file of all of your bookmarks and you can put it anywhere you like.

my computer was dead few weeks ago since my CPU was defected, I was replaced a new PSU, motherboard and CPU. Now I can't access to my windows due to crash issue. I have to take another harddisk to install another new windows to find back all my firefox bookmarks.

Or just use a USB-to-SATA adapter to pull the data off and enable the built-in synchronization for next time so you never have to worry about it again.
