Are you an editor Keebs? I am. We can have a Folding Editors Club. With jackets and ties and everything.

Gargoyle and I posted about it to our gaming clan. Many of our members fold for 93 but we got at least one more to sign up. I also spoke with my family about starting again and they'll be up and running by tonight.

I gave one of the fliers to a large rehabilitation company in the local area today - directly to the executive director. And then I said, "this is a charitable project that we support. It doesn't cost any money. When you get a chance, visit that site and check it out. If you need any help with it, call me".
  • edited March 2005
Cool deal guys. Good thinking outside the box. When I get some fliers printed up I'll be distributing them too.

The Department of Surgery at Fairview Hospital here in the Cleveland area is getting some business card sized invites tomorrow with a link to www.joinfolding.com

The Squeeze tells me that they should be well-received.

Yes an idea - the background on the card would add a tremendous impact on the joinfolding page. Also make the print maybe a bit larger and darker.. But remember I am an old man and my eyes aren't what they used to be. Jack

I could stick a poster up in the works canteen as well, that may grab a few.

Saturday was a slow day at the hospital, so my GF only passed out about a dozen of the business cards.

But she did get a firm commitment from four of her co-workers to join the team and the cause. :D

    Sweeeet!!

I added a folding@home page to my links directory today. The traffic is pretty good due to posting the link at a few local music sites so hopefully we'll snag a few supporters from that.

It was the first time I ever saw a cog on a computer that I didn't install it on. I was at a new client's office today and I saw the cog in the systray. :wtf:

So I asked the employee who he folded for and he said he was a GOON

I said "ah team 93 cares about each and every teammate. You should fold for us, we're way cooler!" and he switched just like that :p

Talk to your friends. Find an excuse to reach out to long-lost relatives, then twist their arm a little.

Most of all, share any ideas which you have found to be effective in gaining new recruits with the rest of The Team.
