So my stuff is crapping out. I need a new mobo, cpu and maybe ram. Only catch is the mobo has to have agp. My x850xt is the AGP version =/. Any ideas? I don't want to spend to much. Maybe 400 max?
I've built 2 of these in the last couple of months and they perform great and the CG stepping mobile Clawhammers overclock like nobody's business. Much better than a socket A system, IMO.
Mudd's specs listed above should be fantastic. I'd personally prefer the DFI 754 board to a 939 AGP board. I used that board for a month or so (but my 2800+ A64 was teh-junk, and I upgraded to NF4)..
You'll benefit from 1MB L2 cache with the CG stepping chips as well.
AMD is also releasing some newer rev.E mobile chips in the coming months, so there is still some upgrade life left in the 754 platform too..
