problem installing windows

I was installing windows and during formatting a partion I stoped it because it was formatting the wrong partion.
Now it wont run the windows disc. it says error loading operating systems.
this is a new install on a new hard drive- the comp in the sig

    If there is nothing on the drive in the new system, try deleting all the partitions, create a new one, reformat, then start from scratch.

    From your description it sounds like you may have gotten partway through a Windows install. If that is the case, it is likely trying to boot from the HD (and can't). Make sure your cdrom is set as the first boot device and watch the screen carefully. If you see a message at the bottom of the screen saying "Press any key to boot from CD", hit a key. :D

    profdlp You are good!!! I changed the bootup order to boot up off of the cd drive. That worked. Its formatting now

    Enjoy your new system. It's going to whip that old Compaq easily. :vimp:
