My name is Robby Stanford. I started folding about 5 minutes ago. I live in Houston and go to school at ITT tech. I'm 26 as I write this. I love music and have been blessed with the opportunity to create my own. I met a girl in Ft. colins Colorado in June of 03 and we have since built an amazing relationship that continues to flourish as we try to find a way to be together. She lives in DC. The right side of my face is reconstructed with titanium. If you came to my house we would probably cook fajitas on the grill and watch the movie "Waking Life".

Do you mean Washington DC? I grew up in Arlington, VA and worked in DC for years. I still get up that way fairly often (about 100 miles from Charlottesville)to visit the old folks. Or is that Denver Colorado?

Been through Lake Charles a few times; never really stopped to see the city though, unless that's where the casino is (can't recall which one we stopped at one time just to see what a casino was like. Losing $5 was about as much fun as I thought it would be. Won't do that again).

You found us. The two riverboat casinos are right here. We're building a third huge facility right now that will resemble more of a resort. Give me a holler next time you come through.

My aunt and uncle go there (or at least used to) with some frequency and on our way back from a family reunion in Oberlin, LA we stopped there. The food was pretty decent.

Occupation: If you're reading this you're logged on to it. Trying to find a job but in no luck so far. :( Watching tv. I took my name from logan's character in Dark angel.
Interrests: Computers, women (still searching for the one), LEGO (it's really fun and not just for children), and i'll think of something more.

My first experience with computers was with a commodore 64. It was a lot of fun but even more pain when something didn't want to work. I still remember sitting for sometimes up to 15 minutes holding the diskette while a game was loading so it would be in the correct position in the drive but still sometimes it didn't load and i was forced to start all over again. Thank god for emulators. At least it loads fast.

Later i got my first pc and it was so much better. I started folding in december but had no luck with my folding rig. It broke down on me. Knowing that my p2 was used a lot i held up folding hoping that i might soon get an upgrade. Since that seems to take some time i started folding this afternoon.

I too found this forum when investigating the reports about ati cards trashing monitors. After that i hung around and have learned a great deal about computers since. This is really a great place to be. :)

I'm 20 years old and have lived in the same permanent residence in Austin, TX for all of those years, which is nice because the phone numbers don't change. I'm a student at Texas A&M University in College Station, studying to become an Aerospace engineer. I drive a 1997 Geo Prizm.

My first experience with computers was playing Math Blaster on the Apple IIgs lab in Kindergarten. First experience with a PC was being allowed to touch a State-owned IBM PC-AT, fully equipped with an amber MGA monitor and DOS. First computer was a Macintosh LCII, second was a Power Macintosh Performa 6200CD, both of which are known for being lemons (and were). First PC was a Dell Dimension XPS R350, widely known as the best value in OEM computing (upgrades to a 1.4GHz Celeron-Tualatin over the 350MHz Pentium II it came with).

First real boom to computers as a hobby came in my Sophomore year in high school, where I spent $5 at the school district's technology auction to aquire an Pentium 1 IBM, a 486, and a Pentium 2 Compaq Deskpro. I spent some time maxing out the 486 and the IBM, but the 486 has since died and the Deskpro has been sold to TheBaron, but the IBM lives on as the most tweaked Pentium MMX box I've ever seen.

I am an Eagle Scout (class of 1999) and I spend my summers working as camp staph for the local Boy Scout camp in Bastrop. I teach science and technology-related merit badges there. Most of the old machines I restore go back to the scout camp to work in a variety of capacities. I've had to stop working there due to the need to do aerospace-related jobs/internships/etc so I have a job after I graduate.

I started Folding on November 24 of 2002 on a $5 bet with khan that I would outfold him by December 25. He had been folding for several months prior on his Dells (a p3 and a p4 I believe). For future reference, never bet against the dual Athlon machine running 24/7 :D. I joined Icrontic and Team Icrontic at the same time, and never stopped even during the time when Icrontic was gone and Short-Media had yet to exist. Current ambition is to keep my spot at rank 42 since it's just such an awesome number.

I can safely say that I own the fastest computer I've ever seen (see below).

I've been fooling with computers since the Commodore 64 came out. As a matter of fact, I still have it, the printer and the tape drive.
I am a tech junkie and have six computers in the house, four towers and two laptops. Two networks, one hardwired, one wireless. I am currently working on improving one of the towers for folding, almost done.
I have gotten two degrees since going back to the military (enlisted once, got out for a long time, then went back) My latest educational endeavor was to get MSCE certified, as I plan to work on a contract basis in the IT field when I finally get retired.
I don't contribute much to this forum, but I love hanging out, reading posts and learning. There is a well of good information posted in this forum

Well Sir, I only know of one way to keep from having birthdays, and it ain't worth damn!
There is a lot of truth in the saying that old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthuisiam! Not sure about the spelling there, right now, I am way into the Bud Light.
