Use USB or PS/2 - does it matter?

This is such a simple question that I thought I should be able to google the answer in less than a minute, but I can't find anything about it, so I am asking here. I just bought a wireless optical mouse/keyboard combiation from Logitech, and have the choice to either connect them via USB or the legacy PS/2 connectors (adapters are supplied). Which one should I use, and does it even matter? I have more USB ports than I need, so that doesn't play a role.

Many thanks

Frank

I would use USB. It's more convenient by a long shot.
