I have been trying to put together a new rig for some time and i keep on getting stuck at the same point.

There is power on the board, but the system refuses to boot.

I have tried switching the power cables around on the mobo with no joy. At times the fans (on the cpu, case and graphic card) are all spinning with a long error beep tone coming from the mobo.

I have installed just the cpu and mobo with the same results and with no diff when the memory and gaphic card was installed.

I think the problem is btw the case and mobo as all the other items have bben tested and work in other system. Does anybody know if there is a compatability problem with the case and mobo?

Is there something i am doing wrong? All advise & Info welcome.

Spec:

Corsair 2*1gb ECC memory
Evga 8800GTS
Lian Li PC V1200 Plus(Case)
Supermicro H8 DCE Mobo

Many Thanks

Try booting it outside of the case on the anti-static bag or something. Just be careful.
