Sudden shadowing on screen

edited February 2007 in Hardware
Its been for couple of days now that i am getting sudden shadowing on screen and then it dissapears. It happens on randomly and it seems to do it when the monitor is turned on for prolonged period of time. Sample picture is shown . The gfx card is out of the question as it does the same thing in a diff pc.
The monitor is the philips 190v7fb/00 model. The other strange thing is that in the philips smartcontrol it shows purchase date as 12/30/99.
I have contacted by e-mail philips.

I am keeping the original size of the screen shot so you can see what i mean

If you look closely at the letters you will see that. I think i must take a "worst" screenshot

Ok. Found the problem. It seems that my D-link dkvm-4 switch decided to start failing in random occasions. Time to get a new one.

So when you take the kvm switch out of the picture, the picture gets better?

Yes exactly. I havent usse the kvm for today and the screen is as crystal clear. Now i have to find a kvm switch that can support 1280x1024@75hz

I run my KVM at the native resolution for my monitor which is 1440x900 @ 65Hz with no problem.......yet.

I've got a Kingwin that seems promising. It's just the cables though, enough for two.
