So I am reading about Intel's Tukwila and how they have 4 Fully Bufferd DIMMs and so i was like, "Oh, cool!..."
But then i read about the increased power consumption and i was like, "Oh, crap.."

So then i read about AMD's G3MX solution and i was like "Oh, cool!..."
But then i was like, "what do they mean by buffer?"

So what literally happens when you buffer memory?
When i wait for a streamed movie to fully buffer i wait longer. Usually the faster the connection the less it needs buffered.

Also, who do you favor for their CPU's & Memory architecture: Intel or AMD?
