Aw dras, it's shaped like a water molecule! I love it on so many levels!

Marushka, fantastic image and setting. Great lighting and great shot.

I'm thoroughly distressed with the shots I took last night; my current supplies render me entirely unable to create the shot I want. Argh.

thanks, snarkasm! Here is the original: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1417260/Original.jpg, if anyone has any suggestions on post processing or anything, I would love it! I did some auto adjustments in photoshop and "clone stamped" out the strand of xmas lights that were distracting me in the middle. I just learned about "the rule of thirds" from the purple discussion a few days ago :)

I had to stand on the railing next to the Chemistry building stairs to get that angle. It was... precarious :vimp:.

Marushka - I already told you this, but I think it's awesome :)

drasnor - cool! Is the water really that color?

bh - i really like it, especially with the repetition of the pillars

reyrey - very cool. Did you take any with a slower shutter speed? I always think that looks really cool

    mine:

    1) Unfortunately, you can see the dust specks everywhere in the sky. They're inside my lens and I need to get it cleaned :(

    2) It was way too bright out for the pics I wanted, but they shut off the fountain at close of business.

this was one of the others I was considering posting.

BH - Great colors and sharpness. Gorgeous and peaceful - you're lucky to live there in some ways.

Reyrey - very nice area. Colors came out very nice, a really good contrast.

Shwaiples - the fountain's a little tilty, but I really like the wide angle. Good shot.

Nem - Don't fry the ducky! Interesting composition.

Doc - Very nice, as always. Was that using a flash? The background looks a little underlit, which would probably explain it. Cool, cool fountain.

I took today's photo at the location where Crazy Joe will be getting married tomorrow. There's a water feature at the location, and I climbed up behind it and set up shop. I posted the only decent one of the series. Here's a shot of the water feature from across the pond:

Yes, it's really green. It's been raining intermittently this week and the fountain needs to be shocked again.

Decided to play around with Photoshop for the first time to try and get the better parts of both of my previous submissions together; resubmitted.

Snark- Gorgeous. I love the idea, with food coloring and all.

Myself - I wish i had a good light to hit those flowers with, but i kinda like the blur, since it doesn't take away from the subject.

Nem- thats a damn fine picture, i love how the steam stands out so well.

Shwaip- I almost like the mountain backdrop better, but a very nice shot all the same.

Reyrey- that is a beautiful waterfall shot, must be nice to live so near that kind of scenery, I live in iowa, so if anyone wants pictures of corn and soybeans, Let Me Know ;)

BHawk- Love it, the pattern and then the ocean in the background. Sweetness!

Dras- Was gonna say water molocule, but snark had that on lock down. otherwise, SWEET!

Marushka- I Like the fountain alot, but maybe less houses in the background is the only sugjestion, helps to bring the eye to the subject more :) Nice shot though

Marushka: while technically competent, it doesn't resonate with me; it's a good photo, don't get me wrong. Chalk it up to me being weird.

dras: It's only been four days and already I can see your skills improving. This photo is awesome, shot from a perfect angle. Well done!

Black hawk: WOW. That is an AWESOME photo. If I could speak spanish, I'd say good things in it. Muy bueno or some shit.

Regan: Great choice of subject, and it's almost perfect, but there's something weird about the angle or something I can't put my finger on. I like the photo, though.

Shwaip: it looks like a dick. lol.

    Nemi: Your poor toys.

Doc: Cool, but the flash is a detriment to the picture. You either need flash from a different angle or use different light source. Otherwise, a technically proficient and well-composed photo

Snark: I like almost every photo you take, but this one is.... meh, to me. I'm not feeling it. Technically proficient, but not your best work.

GH: Having trouble figuring out what I'm supposed to be looking at; perhaps a slightly wider shot would have served to bring the photo together.
