HP machines halted at boot for disconnected devices RESOLVED

This is a thread for everyone all over the web to use. So many people use mobo's from a HP business desktop machine. eg: dc7600, dc7700.
Problem is that they move the mobo to a different case, and mutilple problems occur with connecting USB devices, front audio and system fan.

To get the "FRONT USB NOT CONNECTED" turned off, plugging in your standard front USB wont work. You have to do a mod.
Its simple. You have your ground wire on pin 7 and 8. Use a jumper or small wire connection to connect pin 8 with pin 10(reserved). And voila.
So in short, ground your reserved pin to remove the boot error.

AUDIO NOT CONNECTED error is done the same if you dont have and HD front audio on your case.
Short pin 2 with pin 4 - use a jumper.

SYSTEM FAN NOT CONNECTED
This took some modding aswell.
Take your CPU fan and extend the communication wire (normally yellow).
Make it long enough. I just soldered a wire onto the plug connecting a new wire to the yellow wire.
Take a normal 2 pin (red-black wired) fan and plug it into pin 1 -ground- pin 2 -vcc- and then take the extended yellow wire from the plug of the CPU fan and connect it to pin 3. Message vanished.

1801 - MICROCODE UPDATE
This means that the 3rd party developed Intel board (HP ownership),
is telling you that your CPU has changed and that it recognises it and knows all its spec's, but it does not have the stepping info for it.
You PC will work fine, but you will be forced to press F1 everytime.
Goto HP's site and give in your mobo detail and download the BIOS update which includes multiple upgrades on family stepping. Not all their boards support all the CPU's - beware.
