It's hit and miss now a days. Best you can do is try to spread the word and show up at normal time. The last couple weeks has been less then 6 players (we get lucky and get a couple cool pubs to hang out) but then it dies out pretty quick.
indeed, it's just no fun getting constantly pwnt because people have spent hundreds of hours getting all the improved items... not that I don't get pwnt playing vanilla anyway, but still.
OK, here's the deal. I -think- I'll be on to play Wed. I did, however, get invited to visit a little place known as Pixar animation studios on the same day. I'll be out in Emeryville for a few hours late afternoon, and then I'm catching dinner with some of the crew that evening. not sure when I'll get home.
It would take a pretty big commitment for me to skip out on my promise to be here, and I can assure you that this is about as big as it gets for me.
