Does anyone in icrontic play Flames of War? I have been reading the rule book and I want to get in to it. Flames of War is a World War II table top games like Warhammer 40k.

Word. I have Russian infantry. I got in early and haven't played it in quite a while so I don't know how the rules have developed recently. At it's core, it's still a good game if you're looking for something historical (and semi-inexpensive as far as miniature games go).

I love the history behind it. I love that you can field a 1500 pt Mid War US Airborne group for under $100 or drop hundreds to build some huge conscript army or mechanized company and both are competitive. My only complaint is the local group here are real sticklers for historical accuracy so they want to know which "real" unit you're fielding, and they don't want to play games of US vs Brits etc. Too many grognards spoil the fun.

If you've got players around you and don't mind painting up small stuff, give it a go by all means.
