Golden wrenches destroyed for charity?

Was tooling around on TF2 last night against bots blowing off some life-ick steam and was hearing the announcer yelling "FAILURE" frequently enough. Turns out it was part of a charity event to donate golden wrenches to support a cause.

Got me thinking, is there something the icrontic community can do like this, like a TF2 event where you donate in dollars your score for a round?

I would be in debt for the rest of my life if I donated a dollar for every point in TF2. It's pretty cool what Valve is doing though.

Doesn't Steam keep track of the total number of points scored?

I really like the idea of a charity event involving TF2. Maybe make it like a pledge drive, participants choose a player they want to sponsor and determine how much they want to donate per point.

Hmmm. I can think of some people I wouldn't want to sponsor... or maybe pennies per point?
