Lacie MiniHD
Happy New Year Everybody.
So i purchased a Lacie MiniHD 500gb , along with a nice 42" TV.
Downloaded some 1080p movies to play so i can check the quality but here is the problem. Lacie doesnt output DTS sound through HDMI but through Digital Optical cable.
I have no idea how Digital Optical works , so , my question is. If i go and buy a nice
Home Cinema, i will have to connect the Lacie on my TV with the HDMI cable and the Lacie on the Home Cinema with the Digital Optical cable?
Please Help, dont want to waste money on Home cinema if its not needed. Telling this cause i have the Logitech 2.1 150watts rms on my pc and on my tv through an audio switch.

Lacie audio -> optical -> receiver
If their design isn't completely absurd, this should work fine.
