Problem with Motherboard and keyboard

So I have a new CM storm Quickfire Pro USB Mechanical Keyboard. I love the thing the only;y issue it only works if plugged into my USB 3.0 Port. Now I have read some places that there is a issue with the keyboard and certain Motherboards. Mine is a GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 Here is my issues

Plugged into a USB 2.0 Port it the PC will not boot.
In windows I switch it over and I get an Error that It cannot install this driver

I did do a bios update and USB driver update and still no luck.


Any Ideas?

    Solved it. Sold the damn thing and bought a Microsoft X4 Sidewinder. I DO NOT miss the Mechanical Keys 1 bit and rather have full keyboard Illumination at night.
