    It is weird. Like some dude from The Oatmeal could have gotten some real VC or fronted the money to get the card game done. But if everyone likes pre-orders that is cool too.

    Generally when starting a business venture, one is wise to use someone else's money whenever possible, and finding VC for a board game is pretty hard, from what I understand. Besides, if you had the fan base that these three guys have, why WOULDN'T you leverage that?

    Same here. Funded at the NSFW level once I saw they expanded it to a full deck and were including a fancy-pants storage box. I just wish it was going to be here in time for the wife's family summer vacation. They would love this game methinks. I'll just have to take Cards Against Humanity instead.

    I just saw in an AMA that the guys from Cards Against Humanity have agreed to do the publishing for the Kickstarter.

    8+ million, with 200,000k purchases of the game. Cool.
