XP pro install disc won't boot

edited October 2008 in Hardware
Problem:

XP Pro Install/boot CD won't boot. It will just sit there flashing the blinking cursor, it doesn't even go to the "hit any key to Boot from this CD..." (or whatever the messae is); it just stays there blinking (for hours)

I recently whiped out my system, no operating system or partition exists on it. The BIOS is set to boot CD's before the Harddrive. I have no floppy disk drive, and need some solution to this please!!

Is there anyway to force start the CD so it will boot?

Help please!

Do you have another CD-ROM to try?

Not another XP disc, I don't have a restore disc either.

However, it loads other disks (hiren CD, ultimate boot CD, etc)

Is your copy pirated, Some of the poorly made pirated cd's won't boot.

^^ That was going to be my guess.

If you burned a "backup" .iso try burning re-burning it at a slower speed.
