well i got 13.844 outta my rig: Intel core 2 duo E8600 3.33Ghz, 4Gb DDR2 RAM, Nvidia 7695GT 512Mb Pci-e Graphics card, 750 watt PSU, some mad Gigabyte motherboard, no overclocking, no watercooled fancy cooling system, just a pc i bought bit by bit on eBay, then assembled, then smashed nearly every super pi time on this forumn bar <strike>a few</strike> the ones from this year.
E8600's overclock like nicerice. You should slap a watercooled fancy cooling on that sucker and let 'er rip.

lol dual core pwns quad, or you just need a better motherboard or oc'n skillz, i could push mine further and prollty get 10 seconds or better, just dont care to.

Super Pi is not written for multi threads, plus duals will always OC higher then the comparable quad. This bench mark is a function of frequency not computing power.

they will oc higher if you know what your doing, i have seen ppl with q6600 that couldnt get it over 3 gigs they couldnt figure out the timings for 1:1 and such but a quad should kill a dual if setup right.

I edited them to just links for the moment, it messes up the postbit.
