Loss of Internet connection

:eek3:Recently started to looseconnection to internet without warning, what do I need to check/change to correct this ??

    You need to describe your internet connection for us. We need to know what kind of internet you have, and who your provider is. Also, anything that changed when you started to have the problem is a bonus, even if it was just the weather.

    Once you do that, we can work with you to solve the problem.

    Cable or dsl ?

    What troubleshooting have you done so far.

    Hi,

    I have cable connection supplied by Virgin Media.

    I have defragged the hard drive, run disk clean-up and used McAfee to scan the hard drive for viruses.

    Anything you can suggest would be appreciated.

    When you lose your connection, do the lights on the modem blink at all?
