    8. Katy Perry holds the same record as Michael Jackson for most number one singles from an album

I'm ok with this. As much as I tried to ignore it Katy Perry is actually pretty talented and is extremely good at making hit songs. Michael Jackson was always crap...and not nearly as hot.

    12. This guy exists.

    Well that's just plain unacceptable.

Comparing album and singles sales now to album and singles sales in the 50s and 60s is completely futile. As of yet, there is not a band or artist in history that has made more hit records in as short period of time as The Beatles. It doesn't seem plausible that any genre of music will penetrate the entire world audience like Rock N Roll did. Honestly, the more I read this the more I hate whoever wrote it.

I recently found "Every Subway Car" by Barenaked Ladies, and I'm loving it. Catchy tune, great lyrics, and as an artist, the concept/story makes me all warm and fuzzy inside!

I was so pleased with that movie. So glad it didn't disappoint me. The cover of Immigrants Song in the opening credits was pretty sweet (even if I wasn't a fan of the opening credit sequence as a whole)

Metric, oh my god Metric. I started listening to this band about 3 days ago and haven't been able to stop. This is very quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. I can't believe how good it is.

I can't find one single song of theirs that isn't just as good as the ones above.
