I understand the whole Taco Bell is not mexican food argument. I myself am addicted to baja sauce. But at the same time, if I lived closer to a 5 guys I would not go to Burger King, if you know what I'm saying.

That's because Del Taco tries to be authentic and you just can't fake that. Taco Bell makes absolutely no overtures towards being "Mexican" food.
I hate to do it, but I'd argue that Del Taco does not at all try to act authentic. They are fast food and they know it. Anystuff, I'll try to take everyone on a taco bell run this year, sounds like a blast. I like their food too, just not as much I think.
I honestly still don't get this fervor over Taco Bell. Is it because I'm culturally close to being Mexican or something? I get it, it's cheap but it's not really all that good. It's like Italians going ape shit over Pizza Hut.
Eh you're not alone I don't get it either. Honestly I've never found the food to be particularly enticing although I've heard the argument that that's due to the fact that Canadian Taco Bell sucks.
I'm sorry but I just don't understand what makes it so good, I mean sure I've only eaten there...likely twice but I never found it to be any more enjoyable than most other kinds of fast food.

Moral of the story: Low-carb dieters can enjoy the insanity of the Dorito taco, even if it's just one.
Except I am addicted to BK mayo...
