Strictly speaking, Bigelow is a byproduct of the actual tea making process. I wouldn't necessarily advertise it as being "made of teas". Also, artificial flavors. Also, this is mostly tongue in cheek; I'm not a snob. Also, though, Bigelow is awful.
i once bought a couple ounces of silver needle white tea for a friend of mine who was having a birthday. it took much research, and subtly coordinated reconnaissance missions to figure out that this was a tea that she would likely(and did) enjoy. come to find out that i really like it too! so...
I recommend silver needle white tea, it is a "pure tea" so you can get several steeps per serving which offsets the price. (which is also not terribly high as "pure tea" goes)

Lapsang souchong isn't russian caravan, but it IS the ingredient that is usually responsible for the smoky flavor. Look for that and you might find yourself a nice substitute.

The nice lady at Cali Renn Faire put the tea contents by percentage volume on my tin of Russian Caravan. @midga, poke me on Skype tonight so I remember to get that for you.

I drink Russian Caravan pretty regularly now since I was introduced to it last Expo. I haven't tried straight-up Lapsang, though. Good stuff.
Yesterday I had China Green Tips from Starbucks, it was not good.
