    Huh, missed that somehow. Also, unsurprisingly, it only works in Google Chrome. Still, it's a client-side change, not a change to how Big G is storing or indexing your data... and as far as the government is concerned, if you're really worried about them reading your data you shouldn't be using ANY cloud provider, because you can be sure that no matter which one you use, they'll find some way to access your data if they want to.

  • Oddly this whole paranoia discussion has given me a better understanding of the product. I thought it replaced Gmail. Now I realize it is a separate platform that shares the same data. Neat.
