I think this is the right forum for it because its so general, but for everyone out there, i have a challenge. i give you $1600 US dollars (imaginary, of course) and you build me a rig for college. basically, the deal is thusly:
my parents are willing to chip in, and i have some cash of my own. this is going to be a student rig, yes, but gaming is going to be a must. things i don't need include speakers, joystick, mouse/keyboard, and monitor. all i need to focus on is the rig itself. as for the specs on that...
I need what you would recommend for the following categories:
Motherboard
Graphics card
Processor
HS/F
Sound Card
Hard Drive
RAM
Case/PS
I think that about covers it. I'll take care of the DVD/CDRW and whatnot myself. If i've forgotten any major things, let me know.
