View Full Version : Vancouver gets 2010 Winter Olympics

8:47 AM Pacific Standard Time.

The International Olympic Committe has just announced that Vancouver, BC Canada has just been awarded the 2010 Winter Olympics.

(This is especially significant to me as I work in Television and live in Vancouver. I've worked one Olympics before...it's insane for the sheer amount of broadcasting equipment that rolls into town.)

man..the winter olympics....if a cop ever needsa to fill up a quota...all he has to do is go by the snowboarding halfpipe

I was on the can when I heard it on the radio. I am not that excited about it, have to wait till 2010 to see how I feel about it. At least, BC can make back part of the 22mil (???) that went into promoting the Olympics. At least we'll get better and improved roads.
