FTP not working

I downloaded the FTP program the Prof linked me to and I think I installed it but when I click on the desktop icon it just asks me to install it. Again and Again. What's Up with that?

the install program probably put another icon that looks similar on your desktop. Make sure you're not clicking the installer again.

ok, you're right, I went into programs and opened it there, but it still doesn't ask me for my username, does that come later?

Are you trying to host an FTP server, or connect to one?
