Need a quick vent

So I attend FullSail, an awsome school no doubt. But a funny thing happened 2 months ago. I began a 2 month course called Interactive Media Design(IMD), which teaches me a kick ass program called Director, along with some extra cool bits of Photoshop, Illustrator and anything else you may want to add in like FLASH.

First month was bliss, the class was awsome, and the idea that I have only 4 grades was even better since I had a 95 average for the 1st Test and 1st Project. Then came the second test today, damn did I FAIL that test. I had stayed up all night working on my GAME Design project for Director and then ALOT of studing of my tutorials to help me with my second test.

I got a huge phat 5% on the test, the test being like the first one but much more intense. All you gotta do is look at the FINISHED PRODUCT, then using the art already supplied, I just needed to program or script in what was needed to recreate the short(****ty) game. Naturally, the night up may have been a factor contributing me to being stuck from the START. The 5 points came becuase I was capable of making the Mouse Disappear, which is "cursor 200" in lingo, no problem there.

So right now, I could pump out the code needed to bring that game to working status within maybe 30 minutes, at least.

Well, becuase I KNEW I could ace that test, I left myself vulnerable to the project. Well the project went down the ****ter too, I AM STILL WORKING ON IT! Drives me nuts too... nothingw as fitting together, and I know what the problems are too, which drives me nuts becuase I MADE THOSE PROBLEMS and due to several factors I cannot undo them, and thus am left with next to NOTHING.

Test01 = 100%
Project01 = 90%
Test02 = 5%
Project02 = 0%

So, gonna have to retake this course in like a month or so after my next class is done which is Real Time 3D. Which isn't THAT big of a deal, I can retake the course for FREE, but this does mean I am no longer with the classmates I have grown accoustumed too. ALSO, I will now have to ditch out 2 months MORE of living expences, and tomorrow I need to talk to a student advisor on student loans and pull more money out.

To finish off this rant, which I do feel much better about now, I WAS planning on retaking this course, but I was gonna audit it AFTER I graduated with my class. Why is it that, ONE thing can ruin so much? Now I gotta talk to the parents :P

That sucks man. I wish you the best of luck when you take the class over. College can be a real bummer at sometimes, and a lot of fun at other times.

A good nights sleep before a test is essential. Make a note. At least you can take it again, it's only a setback not a disaster. How you did in the first prooves you can do it.

Thanks guys... I just sorta woke up, actually got outta bed an hour ago, but didn't find my glasses till a few minutes ago :P So I have been in a state of "wtf" for a while now. Last night musta been great cuase I can't remember it LOL I don't even remember going to sleep, that and being up all night the night before was just crazy.

But retaknig this class is a good thing, I love this Director program, it is too awsome. Plus, some others failed too appearently, like the girl I had a big crush on a while back(still do :))
