View Full Version : My school got seized by the feds today!!!!!
Well, not exactly seized, but I go to ITT here in Houston and the feds now have it shut down for a thurough audit. I have no idea what is going to happen to my tuition or if I'll get my degree. Life is good.

When life throws you lemons, make lemonaide.
Were all the campuses closed, or just yours? If it's just yours I'm guessing you might can be squeezed into classes at some of the other campuses.

sweet! My sister's workplace got raided by the armed division of the IRS once... I didn't even know that they had an armed division! It was, like, the IRS S.W.A.T... ;D

Not all, but several. I was considering transfering to the DC campus soon, anyway.

sucks for ITT:
Whatever the investigation reveals, it has taken its toll on ITT's stock, which fell 32.9 percent to close at $38.50 Wednesday. More than 8.9 million shares were traded, while average daily volume is less than 500,000 shares.

0wned. Hopefully all you're stuff is in order. Our cisco class used pirated software (Win2k and XP Pro) and even a couple of Maya installations. We would've gotten shut down if they audited us.

We had some people buy up thousands worth of HealthSouth stock when the Scrushy thing happened.. They bought it at around $0.15 / share. You can imagine how much money they're sitting on now.
I don't get why people sell when a company's stock goes down. Sure, you could end up losing money, but you can easily determine if a company will go under or not long before you lose too much. If anything, I'd be investing more in ITT. Maybe I'm just a stock market newb :p
