Check out the sig and you'll see the scipt someone created to show the world what's playing on your winamp 2/3. The creator might add other players in time.

I think it says something like "nothing playing yet" or something like that.
I did use this for a few days but it got annoying when Winamp wasn't in use
Now, who is gonna be the first we bust a screenie of when they get caught playing pr0n in their sig ;) remember folks.. Winamp does movie's too

I think it's novel. But it will probably wear off after a while. I was wondering, does it also display when you're not on Short-Media?
If so then yes it could get a little embarrising!!
Oh, first 'video' btw (and what a good one it is Panzer - see my avatar)

It will always show whatever Winamp is playing, logged into short-media or not ;)

Haha, could get interesting then. I'd like to see our people take up use of this plugin.
Then, I could do a statistical analysis of how much 'bible music' really get listened to!!

If you've got Winamp paying, it'll display whatever you're playing on it whereever the sig is. I don't care if people know what I'm listening to or watching anyway (as long as I got control over it) :D
I downloaded it because I was bored.
I don't use Winamp to play video because its poorer quality than WMP. So I just use that, and for DVDs I use N-DVD.

All it is is a winamp plugin (DOsomething, typically used to internet radio broadcasters) that generates a HTML tag for you to place into your sig, and it generates the image and information. Pretty simple.

I did not know what "Bible music" meant until the "Bible music" thread.
If I installed this you would see a lot of Bible music played on my system: dc Talk, Audio Adrenaline, News Boys, Rebecca St. James, Carman, POD, Supertones, Tourniquet, etc.

I have to agree. I've not been a huge fan of Winamp for video. WMP is definitely my favorite video player. However, for audio, Winamp is my favorite by far!
Never had heard of N-DVD before. Better than PowerDVD or WinDVD?

/me thinks about putting it
The thing is that there might be some "bible music" around here that I haven't associated with WMP =/ Ahh screw it! The file names don't have any bad words in them. :D I'll probably won't watch videos on winamp anymore :(

I found a plugin that logs everything you play and then create an HTML page. You can program it to FTP or whatever (any command line) after it generates the page. The only drawback is it uses the ID3v1 tag to do it, so some of my mp3's don't get logged because they either only have the ID3v2 tag (though I took care of that with a program called The Godfather) or no ID3 tag at all. Here's an example of the output:

And the homepage:

You can still download it from winamp.com, but I'm too lazy to get it.

Its nice, but I don't use WinAMP to play music, and I don't listen to that much music on my computer even though I have over 1000 songs on it.

Sorry, I meant NvDVD, its a very good player from nVidia. When I installed my DVD drive a few months ago, it came with WinDVD, but a friend (http://www.short-media.com/forum/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=109) advised me that it was crap, and NvDVD was the best thing to get. I've tried a few others, but this comes out on top by far.

Haha! I noticed that when you stop Winamp, whatever song you last played stays on the picture.
So, when I got a job to do at work I found the Excellent Fast Food Rockers song, played it, and exited Winamp.
And there it stayed!! Just to show everyone my magical musical tastes!!
