Who's going to Project A-Kon in Dallas this June? [Archive]

Who intends on going to Project A-Kon 15 this June 4-6? I intend on going, especially since its in Dallas, and only 3 hours away. I am however, unsure if I should stay in the hotel that the convention is being held in. Its $125 a day no matter how many people stay in the room. After March 15 I believe, a subscription price rises to $41 (online) and $40 offline

I've never heard of A-Kon danball. You think it's worthy of going?

i know a lot of people in texas had heard about it, i actually know a few people that are going. i dont plan on going myself

I've never gone to a con before. This would be my first time going to any sort of Anime convention, so I have no clue.

I have a friend who may be doing security for them. They dress up as a squad of ninjas I think :D

If I have vacation time, I might go down to check it out.

My daughter lives from con to con. I can't remember all of their names, but I think her favorite is Katsukon (sp?) in the Baltimore/DC area. I took her a couple of times, it's a pretty wild experience. (I could do without the obligatory "guy dressed as Sailormoon" though...) :eek3:

If they had one every weekend I think she'd start robbing banks to pay for it all.
