View Full Version : Slot 1 question
If a motherboard is a slot 1, will any slot 1 P2 and/or P3 processor work?

I won't say *any* slot 1 will work, but it probably should.
Were p3s slot 1 or slot 2, though?
Probably would be best to check the manufacturer's website to see what the board will support.

if it's an i810, it should take any Slot 1 CPU then, yes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

Oh, also... www.strattoncomputer.com
It'll even take Socket 370 cpus :)
OK thanks, what is the technical difference between Tualatin 370's and non Tualatin

tualatins have 512K cache and 133mhz bus. Non tualatins have 256K and either 100 or 133mhz fsb

"Deep Thoughts?" I know I've seen it (Deep Thoughts, not the Disneyland one in particular) fairly recently, but it could have been on the reruns of SNL and not the new episodes. I saw the one about Disneyland years ago and I just couldn't stop laughing. Jack Handey just had a way of telling it that was so funny. Wish I could see it again. :)
I saw tonight that Tracey Morgan has his own show now, which is nice because now that he's no longer on SNL I was missing him. Jimmy Fallon is funny too.

Looks like the boards that support slot CPUs take both pII and pIII CPUs so it looks good.

Tualatin:
13 nanometer (0.13um) process
lower power consumption, heat dissipation
512k cache on PIII-S CPUs
256k cache on Celeron CPUs (Tualatin Celerons are basically on par with PIIIs at the same speed; the only difference is the bus speed- 100 vs. 133)
Up to 1.4GHz
Coppermine
18 nanometer (0.18um) process
higher power consumption & heat dissipation than tualatin CPUs
CUmine Celerons are not very fast
Up to 1GHz

Probably, but I don't know of whom you speak off the top of my head.
Any characters she's (in)famous for?
I don't know if she's in any movies or anything, I just know she's scary looking and I always think who put her on this show?, what were they thinking? oh well

Mad TV, in my opinion, has really bad actors and actresses. Not that SNL normally has the "cream of the crop" but the Mad TV folks seems like "poor man's SNL" to me.
yeah SNL kinda stinks anymore, they need another Chris Rock or Chris Farley

I wasn't even born when SNL first came about so I don't recall the "old greats" but my favorites are:
Adam Sandler
Chris Farley
David Spade
Chris Rock
Tracey Morgan
Jimmy Fallon
I haven't seen Eddie Murphy on SNL, but I'm sure he was at least as funny (if not moreso) as he is now. Also I haven't seen Bill Murray on SNL, but wasn't he a cast member?
