I saw that too. That far back and catching up? Wow, they are coming on strong. At least we have a lot of padding between us and them. Time to investigate the threat....

Not exactly our type of crowd? That is a huge understatement. Their site/forums is of a totally different tone than this place. I was going to sign up at their forums (until I noticed their 9.95 reg fee) to welcome them to the threat list and dug around a little more. Then I began noticing all the left-wing stuff on the website and then noticed the links to well known left wing sites. The icing on the cake was the banner ad for their store at the top that said "50% of profits go to moveon.org". Ack. I'd better run ad-aware/spybot/primes' special cocktails after visiting that place. But they are folding like mad. And they have a LOT of people registered on their forums which means they are tapping a huge army of left-wingers. Oh boy.

I have yet to visit KBJ to know everyone's views on politricks and all. I'd consider myself a traditional moderate but it really depends on the issue at hand. They (SAGoons) are pretty far to the left from what I can tell from the site. Let's beat 'em.

If you're not into debating things--especially politics and religion--then kbj might not be your cup of tea. Almost everything posted, whether it's truly political or religious in nature, almost surely winds up being lumped with one or the other.

Prime, hate to break it to ya, but you don't strike me as being a left winger even though I haven't seen any posts on KBJ (haven't been there yet) to contradict it. I'm an environmentalist and hate many aspects of the establishment too but I know I'd never be confused for a leftist type person. You strike me as being too sensible for a leftie. Time for SAGoon smackdown. Rally the troops, both of them.

I'm not Buddhist, of course, but wouldn't align myself far from what you said.

I don't classify myself as a "treehugger" but I am very concerned with the environment. I hate seeing trees cut down when 2 blocks away there are abandoned buildings. I very much want to see clean energies developed and put into use. I don't chain myself to trees, though, and I don't gripe about SUVs and then drive around in a Hummer or some V12 that sucks two times more gas than any SUV.

anti-corporate? Yes/no. I'm not for corporations taking advantage of situations and using unfair leverage, but I'm also not for chopping the corporations down at the knees just because they have been successful. There's a middle-ground.

Oh well. I'll shut up because this is KBJ fodder. ;D

Well buddhism is all about the middle path, so I am not left-wing or right-wing either way. I always seek balance and the middle :D

Either way, THOSE PIGS ARE GONNA EAT MY BOOT... ahem.. I mean, we should strive our utmost to produce as much as possible for the good of the project ;)

I registered over there for the 9.85 fee. I kept getting made fun of by all the people there. They always had nasty things to say about whatever I posted. I sent like 20 e-mails asking for my money back, and then I got banned for harassment.

Oh, I'm into debating things quite a bit. As you know, I'm a police officer. Every day I go into work, I can count on spirited debate every day, whether I want it or not that particular day. People complaining on traffic, why they got a ticket, why they can't solve their problems after 484753 tries at it, how I happen to arrest "innocent" people everyday, why an officer in Utah was rude to them in 1958, yada yada yada. If I don't get threatened to be sued and/or have my badge at least once or twice a day, something is terribly amiss. I'm acutely aware that KBJ exists but have purposefully stayed away thus far. Working on computers for overtime for the department as well as side projects as this and our small business provides a solace from the daily crap that I've become somewhat burnt out from. For the time being, I don't want to corrupt my place of solace as I enjoy it the way it is. But I don't want to stray too far off topic, but I'll say that I think I actually would take a little personal pleasure from smoking some goons out of their holes.

I dont remember (long time ago) but we may have passed them at some point. They were a more powerful team back in the day (compared to other teams) as we as a team were back in the teens. I remember the name all right and I noticed they were Red as well.

Although I had a rough few weeks over there, they are very sarcastic. The MoveOn.org thing was a joke. The site actually raised $20,000 for a fellow member going into Iraq. (http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=1970) They were not getting kevlar vests, and the site owners had a fundraiser to get them for his unit.

We shouldn't always be too quick to judge a book by its cover.

I can certainly appreciate the sarcasm as I am rather sarcastic myself. My observations were not based on a cover. It was cover, content, and back page, minus the forums. I wasn't about to pay $9-something for any further "research". It was an honorable move for the kevlar vest purchase. I wouldn't believe much of what they said though.

I really dont see where the production is coming from. If you look at the first page we should be killing them. But the next several pages is where all the new members are coming in from. Thats where they are kicking our asses.

Wonder what they did to get all those new members??

What a fascinatingly ludicrous implication. I can see only two ways to interpret what you're saying: 1) thought which is antithetical to your own is so threatening that you are literally repulsed by it (without the possibility of giving it any rational consideration or response), or 2), that one of the identifying traits of "the liberals" is their desire to spy on you, invade your personal liberties, and/or monitor your thoughts and actions.

Odd; I thought that it was the conservatives who championed the Patriot Act and Patriot II, not the liberals....

Oh, but don't listen to me (not that I need to give you permission), I'm just another one of those frustratingly open-minded liberals who believes in civil liberties, freedom from an oppressive government bent on widening the gulf between the haves and the have-nots in a vicious self-perpetuating, self-interested circle, and equality for all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
