Yeah, there is definitely a "no alcohol on premises" rule in effect.. This place would get heavily fined for that since it's a food business without a liquor license.

That being said, of course there are tons of bars in town.. Detroit is a blue collar city :D

Then again, a trip to the strips would give all our PCs a few hours to fold at the LAN without using CPU cycles for gaming... ;)

I guess I'll stand out as the lamer on this one. I'm not interested in much more than just gaming and meeting the SM crew this trip. Any of the other festivities don't hold much interest for me, at least at this point in time.

W00t for the Pancake House. I think the goal of the lan is to meet most of your online buddies, and get some good gaming in. And well sleep is just not on the list. Me and Ego are getting in on Thursday night and getting a hotel, so we can have a big hotel party, we will bring the strippers, haha

We have no reservations yet. I think the plan was to find one near the coffee shop that has a room, and cheap, and get it. So that we do not get lost. I guess I do need to get reservations though. Which hotel is closest to the coffee shop? Maybe I need to call and get a room for Thursday night.

The Hawthorn Suites (http://www.hawthorn.com/reservations/locationdetail.asp?FacId=2392) are just right down the road. Since it's a business hotel, weekend rates are usually cheaper.

There's also a Holiday Inn Express (http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/dttex?irs=null) right down the street. Either one is just as close.

Thanks Prime. The Holiday Inn Express looks like it will be the best. They have a room for Thursday with 2 beds, which is what we need. Only like $85 dollars for one night. I guess that is the one we will be staying in. Better bring a crossover cable for some pre-lan gaming in the hotel room :)
