"A failure may be imminent"

In my system log (computer management) I have 45 of these from the past month.

"The driver has detected that device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 has predicted that it will fail. Immediately back up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent."

Source is "Disk" and I don't see any other helpful information here.

1) How do I determine which drive is DR0? I have 2 WD JB's in RAID on the HighPoint and a 60GB WD on the reg. IDE.

2) Just what does this mean and how worried should I be?

DR0 is the master.

I don't know how worried you should be. I saw someone go 19 months with that warning. He got a new HDD before it ever failed.

If the 'SMART' flag is enable (which it should), boot with a WD Utility disk and check the health of the drives. If you get an error, write it down cause you'll need it when you request an RMA.

Master of the primary IDE? Either? Well in any case it means the IDE, right?

it depends on the setup and can get complicated but ...run disk managment and it should help to determine which drive is disk 0 by it's size.

DR0 = Disk 0 then? That would also make it the older 60 gig.
