Safe Mode

I'm running Windows XP Pro and want to boot into Safe Mode. All F8 boots me into is an option for boot order: floppy, ide, cdrom, etc.

My purpose of wanting into safe mode is that I've made a :Local Area Connection that I don't want or need and I'd like to delete it but when I right-click, delete is greyed out.

wait a little while longer before pressing F8, you're most likely getting the bios/RAID bios boot selection menu

Or, choose IDE, then when it continues booting, start pressing F8 again.
