<i>"MEMORY FIRM OCZ said yesterday it has introduced DDR 500 memory for the dedicated overclocker, with modules available now.

That coincides with an announcement by Kingston Technology US, which also said it was introducing DDR 500 memory.

The memory types are for the dedicated overclockers, and OCZ said it is shipping memory modules at 256MB and 512MB."</i>

So, its essentially overclocked DDR466? It does have the same timings as DDR466.

Miserably weak timings.

So more than likely it wont overclock very well at all from its default settings if at all.

Column Address Strobe.

Memory is comprised of virtual matrices of data. CAS determines how quickly it can access a column for memory recall. Since there are more columns than rows (RAS) in memory modules, this is the most important number to look at when buying memory.

Found elsewhere that the OCZ memory has 2.5/4/4/7 timings at 2.8v.

Talk about crap.

Pentium 4 systems are less sensitive to Latency than Athlon systems.

This memory's high bandwidth rating could have value there.
