Duh :buck:, when a woman mentions the seat being up she means one of two things...

a) Put the seat down after you've had a piss

b) Put the toilet lid down (the thing that covers the toilet completely - there's not one on the picture so I don't know if you American's have them )) as this is more hygienic, keeping the dirty smells etc in the toilet where they belong.

Simple logic guys, and there's no reason why we shouldn't do it (it goes down well when you're visiting a female friend whose pants you'd really like to get into).
