One of my employees wants to set up a harddrive in one of our computers so that the students can't access it.

Can I put a password on access to an internal harddrive directly (not by creating different users who have different access levels, cause he needs to be able to get stuff off of it for students while they are logged in)? I already told him that I don't think that's a feature that Windows offers, but I thought I would ask you guyses in case I'm wrong about that.

Rigt now, our system is to ask the students nicely not to mess with the crap on that drive unless they ask first, but that does not seem to be a flawless system...

i'm not sure if u can do this to a whole drive or not, but it can password protect folders, u might want to give this software a try, download the free version and try it

Hmmm... Thanks, but I guess I should have specified further that I don't want to have to use a seperate proggy to do this. If windows can't do it, then I don't want it done...

I know that means it proly can't be done, ut that's why I already told him that it couldn't be done :)
