I tell ya, this just drives me batty. :banghead:

I have Fah_Core78.exe, version 1.62. If someone could please upload a newer core I would be very much appreciative, again.

FYI - For those who don't know my problem, the network at my work prevents the auto-d'loading of cores.

Cheers!

This should be 1.64.

Back in business, thx Seth!

Do me a favour and leave that uploaded Seth until at least 3 PM today, the other computer is being used and I can't get onto it right away. :)

Don't worry about it. It'll stay there until you need the next core update. :)

Terry, why don't you post about this situation over at the community forums and see if Stanford will provide a link to the latest cores for downloading? I'm sure there are other folks in your same situation and it would benefit everyone.

Yeah, I should do that Jim.

Stanford already has a core d'load page but I don't know what to do with the files, they have names such as Fahcore_78.fah and such. What the heck is the .fah extension for anyway?

you probably have to rename it to exe manually ...why is beyond me. Or maybe it is compressed in a non exec who knows.

The full FahCore_78.exe is roughly 1.7MB. What size is Fahcore_78.fah? If it's smaller, I would try downloading it and see if the console recognizes and uncompresses it.

Terry if you look at your log file it actually downloads a .fah file and then the client unzips the file to a .exe.

A segment of code at the end of a core download:

Thx Marc, that explains a lot.

Now I assume the core d'load page doesn't get updated as quickly as new core's are released because I did simply save the .fah too my folding directory.

I'm not too worried about it while you guys are so quick to help.

Now FahCore_78.exe 1.64 is outdated, could anyone help me out again?

No Jim, I haven't looked into the matter yet at the community forum but I will, didn't think the core would be outdated so soon.
