Oh I missed this thread. Norge and I were home at like 5:30 or so. Ended up being like 3.5 hours with a short stop for gas.
ocomik and I made it back by 7:00ish (Central) 4.5 hrs for over 300 miles!!! Safe (if a bit gassed out from ALL of ocomik's .... "releases") and sound. Feel tired and will be hitting the sack soon.
Thanks guys...

We got back to my place between 6:30 and 7:00... we stopped twice at places Joe saw on the way up there. One was an A&W that was closed (permanently). The other was a gas station that had signs for $1.58 gas. It was also out of business...

I've got one thing and ONLY one thing to say about DC. Worst case scenario I have over 300+ days to figure out how to get that BlackHawk up, and keep it up for good in similar Raul fashion.

Have you been PWN by someone in a helicopter?
Do you have nightmare's of VoE hovering over the spawn spot?
Do images of falling from the air as your attempts at helicopter flight FAIL?
Do you lack the skills to be trusted to fly your teammates across open water?
No need to have these feelings anymore... Learn to fly with the best of the 1337....

Testimonials:
- Bob from nowhere USA “I use to be made fun of when I came crashing down, which was every time I tried… now I am enrolling for the Army because of the flight manuals….”
- Roger from his home “I saw this guy named RAUL reading this manual and cuss’n about why he never tried to fly a chopper before and how he was going to PWN everyone at some party…”
- Shirley from Yew Jest county “… my husband really stinks at many things (love making included) and after read that manual, he really knows how to use his joystick!!!!! Thank you guys for writing it!!!!!!”
These are just some of the testimonials… you too can be 1337!!!! Hurry and get practicing.

I thought your wife's name was Noell! I guess I'll start calling her surely, uhm - I mean Shirley.
But "Surely You Jest"..... You're right... her name is Noell.
But really... I read those "HOW-TO's" and I will try flying again. Anyone want to be a passenger? I'm sure I won't crash...... much.

*Clutch thinks about QCH flying* I think I will stay on the ground and watch the fireworks, hehe
Don't make me <strike>"down the smack put" "smike the put down"</strike> "Put the smack down" on you. I WILL PWN with a chopper. It may take me three years, but I will be a chopper pilot. Mark my words...
There maybe a few crashes on the way to becoming the next Chuck Yager of the chopper world.... just a few though...

I have a feeling we are all going to die. Strangely enough not by missiles or bullets, but by helicopters raining from the sky. ;D

Wow... your a poet and you didn;t even know it... your still gonna get FRAGGED next year.

18 May 2004, 1:23am
And so will you! :rarr:
;)
That's my tactic. Since I can't land helicopters worth a damn, I just line 'em up, bail out and hope they crush someone. Parachute to safety.
Wow... your a poet and you didn;t even know it... your still gonna get FRAGGED next year.
Dangit. Does this mean I'm going to have to learn how to fly a helicopter too just so I can pwn ya? The next LAN is going to be one massive Desert Combat air battle.

I think I'm the last to check in. I got home about 2 am this morning.. i'm still bleary eyed (Or maybe that's because Diane isn't here anymore.. *sniff*)
Glad to see everyone made it home aight, especially Clutch.. I was a bit pessimistic that Mustang would like highway driving.. considering it's condition.
I'm just resizing my lan pics, be posting them pretty soon.
Yep, those shirts looking ^&$&(* ACE! I can't wait to get one in my grubby l'il hands.

DogSoldier, it was really nice meeting you. You did so much for the LAN, I wish there was some way I could let you know how much I appreciate it.
I wish we had gotten a chance to talk more. Instead, you were content with completely destroying me in UT2K4.... :ninja:

Well Brian.. just being there was the best (The kicking ass was a bonus). I think you all now know how shy I really am (This forum notwithstanding) I'm not a big social type guy, so this was one way I could really contribute. I enjoyed putting the logo and tags together, but it was your vision and perserverance that made this event so successful. And for that, I thank you!

I talked to VoE tonight at 10:00 PM. Not only did he miss his flight from Detroit (my fault), but he ALSO missed his flight from Newark, NJ to San Juan (HIS fault)!! He claims otherwise, but I am convinced that he missed his second flight because he was taking a crap ;D
At any rate, he's home safe without a computer for a couple of days until his rig arrives. :D

LMAO! Now that would suck. Missing your flight because you were dropping the kids off at the pool.

Ok now I see the post so lemme fully explain. Since I was sick, my ears were full of pressure and stuff and the flight made it worse. I could hardly hear what I was saying. I asked a security guard where the check-in thing was and I went to search. Took me like half an hour to figure out that my airline's terminal is on the other side of the airport and I needed to take a rail train thingy. I get there and I was late but the flight still hasn't left. When I'm at the gate 8 mins before departure, the gate is closed and nobody is outside. Well I had to wait 3hrs for the next flight. Atleast I didn't have to pay anything.

Raul, good to see you home safe. Sorry we didn't have opportunity to talk, I understand you're a bit of a clown. I have the same cold (Detroit viruses suck) woke up 3 this morning for lack of oxygen. I'm very contagious right now so I won't be going into work today. wheeeeee

I'm still sick as a dog over here... but I'm at work today. I'd tell you what I hacked up this morning, but I don't think that's really necessary. Suffice it to say, you've got Cincinnati covered.
