I know the source code has been released, but is the full game available for download anywhere? I actually own it, but I'm away from home and I felt like blowing some things up :D

Not afaik, not Quake either....

Q2 still ranks as one of my faves and I played it more online than any other game except 2 MMORPG's I got sucked into deep (10six and Anarchy Online)

Ever try the WOD (Weapons of Destruction) mod for Q2? That was my all time favourite. 6 kinds of grenades including a fireball and a nuke, mini-rockets coming outta the machine gun. The BESTEST tho was the streetsweeper - chaingun using shotty shells. I got banned from numerous servers for being too good with it, it was seriously lethal lol. The mod is still out there on the net, tho I have it saved permanently to disk here.

The source code ahs been released? Like I COULD take the engine and build my own game with it freely? If so, I'd like to take a peek at it!

Yeah, it's on Fileplanet. WoD is the best mod EVAR, by the way. Playing through single player with it loaded was fun. A little cheap, but fun :)

Gargoyle... just hit up a linux box and compile your own hardcore version :D

I liked Action Quake :D the only other mod I played for Q2 was Chaos.
