Can't get rid of OmegaSearch

I followed the directions to remove omegasearch, and it works until I restart my computer. I'm not sure how to restart in 'safe' mode...when I press F8 no windows come up. I'm working on Windows XP.

You need to press F8 during the boot sequence, before the Windows logo screen comes up. It should pull up a boot choices menu (text, no windows), and select Safe Mode in that menu.

If you can't figure out when to press F8, just keep pressing it from the time you turn on your computer till the choices come up :)
